Adeline Seifert

August 27, 1920 — March 7, 2010

Addy was born to Louis and Rose (Lovin) Flicek on August 27, 1920, in Mahnomen, Minnesota. She attended and graduated from Mahnomen High School. She attended the college of St. Benedict in St. Joseph, Minnesota, graduating with a degree in Sociology. Following graduation, she taught at Holdingford High School in Holdingford, Minnesota. On June 30, 1943, Addy was united in marriage to W.J. “Bill” Seifert, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Mahnomen. After raising a family in Fargo, North Dakota, Addy and Bill moved to Detroit Lakes to enjoy retirement in 1979.


Addy enjoyed a variety of activities inside and outside of the home. She lovingly worshiped her God and loved her family.


Those surviving Addy are her six children; Mary Jo of St. Louis, MO.; Kathy of Bloomington, MN.; Carol of Bend, OR.; Diane of Portland, OR.; Jane of Wheaton, IL.; and John of Detroit Lakes, MN. Addy’s Brother, Cyril Flicek of Mahnomen, MN. Seven Grandchildren and six Great-Grandchildren. Preceding Addy in death were her husband and her parents.


The family asks that in lieu of flowers, kindly make a donation to the American Diabetes Association or to the American Cancer Society.
