Agnes R. Anderson, 89, Detroit Lakes, MN, died Friday, December 25 at Oak Crossing in Detroit Lakes.
Agnes Regina Anderson was born April 27, 1931 in Madison, MN to John and Margaret “Maggie” (Johnson) Pederson. She moved to Detroit Lakes with her family as a child. She attended Holy Rosary School and is a 1949 graduate of Detroit Lakes High School. Following graduation, she worked at the DeLite Lunch Café for several years. Agnes was united in marriage to Milton Anderson, December 27, 1952 in Detroit Lakes. They farmed in Hamden Township 1956 – 1980. Agnes also worked in the gift shop at St. Mary’s Hospital and St. Mary’s Nursing Home. In her later years, she was a volunteer at Holy Rosary Church. Agnes was a 4-H leader and volunteer, a member of Catholic Daughters, loved photography, sewing, ancestry and dogs. Milton died in 1995.
Survivors include a son, Ardean (Theresa) Anderson of Detroit Lakes, 3 daughters: Kathy Pederson of Detroit Lakes, Marlene Anderson of Little Falls and Joanne (Richard) Lubarski of Cedar, MN, 12 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Milton, a son-in-law, Dean Pederson, a grandson, Ross, 3 sisters: Marie, Clara and Margaret.
