Anna Sundine

Anna Marie Sundine, age 47, of Detroit Lakes, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, July 7 at Essentia Health-St. Mary's Hospital in Detroit Lakes. A memorial service will be at 3:00 pm on Sunday, July 12 at the Assembly of God Church in Detroit Lakes. A visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Anna was born on November 10, 1967 to Rose (Aceto) Vitto in Chicago, IL. She grew up and attended high school in Chicago. She was united in marriage to Jeremiah Sundine in April of 1999. Jeremiah passed away in 2000. In 2008, she and her family moved to Detroit Lakes. She attended MSCTC for two years and then transferred to St. Cloud State University, where, in December of 2014, she earned her Bachelors of Science in Criminal Justice. Anna had recently been accepted into St. Cloud State's Master's Program. Anna liked to fish with her family. She also enjoyed watching movies and spending time with her children. She loved to cook for other people and would prepare meals for the homeless shelter. She enjoyed Detroit Lakes and its community. She loved the Lord and through that love overcame significant obstacles in her life. She is survived by her children: Remiah Sundin, age 16; Joseph Sundin, age 14; Brianna Sundin, age 12; Trinity Wallace, age 10; and Riley Wallace, age 9; her fiancé, John Herndon of Detroit Lakes; step-father, Dominic Vitto of Chicago, IL; a brother, John Vitto of Chicago, IL; and parents-in-law, Dave and Cheryl Sundine of East Grand Forks. She is preceded in death by her mother, Rose; and her husband, Jeremiah.
