Ardean Joseph Johnson

Ardean Joseph Johnson Sr., age 84, of Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, passed away on November 2, 2022, at his home.  No services are planned at this time.

Ardean was born on January 20, 1938, to Joseph and Zelvetta “Ruth” (York) Johnson in Detroit Lakes.  Ardean was a self-taught man who loved animals, farming, building, and repairing anything.  He loved the challenge of finding the why and the how.  His greatest asset was his ability to make people smile. He will be deeply missed.

He is survived by his loving partner of 30 years, Chris DuVall; two sons, Ardean (Becky) Johnson, and Scott Johnson (Barb); a daughter, Loxlia Paltz (Jeremy); a sister, Joanetta (Harold) Larson; 12 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Ruth; and a nephew, Joel Larson
