Arlene Jeanette Vadnais was born September 23, 1936 in Fosston, MN to Henry and Leona (Melander) Grone. She was raised and educated in Gonvick, MN and is a 1954 graduate of Gonvick High School. Following graduation, she moved to California. Arlene was united in marriage to Wayne Osmonson in 8/19/1955 in Gonvick, Mn. They later divorced. She returned to the Gonvick area in 1968. She moved to Bllaine, MN where she worked for the Twin City Army Ammunition Plant making hand grenades. She moved to the Frazee-Detroit Lakes area in 1972. Arlene was united in marriage to Robert “Bud” Vadnais in May, 1976 in Detroit Lakes. She entered Oak Crossing August 29, 2003 after being diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis.
Arlene enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, gardening, canning and flowers.
Survivors include her husband: Robert “Bud” Vadnais of Detroit Lakes; children: Dean (Karen) Osmonson of Champlain, MN, Darryl Osmonson of Detroit Lakes, Wendy (Joe) Olson of Detroit Lakes, Patrick George of LaCrosse, WI; 5 grandchildren: Angie (Anthony) Sieling, Nicole Bellefeuille,Adam Olson, Amy (Sean) Grove, Christina Osmonson, Austin Osmonson, ; 8 great grandchildren: Alex Olson, Hunter Sieling, Joseph Grove, McKenzie Sieling, Kaiden Olson, Jacob Grove, Sophia Grove, Haylie Olson; a brother: Blaine (Guri) Grone of Clearbrook, MN; 4 sisters: Pat Graftas – Clearbrook, MN, Carolyn (Jerry) Snobeck of Clearbrook, MN, Pam (Larry) Berg of Coon Rapids, MN and Linda (Scott) Rasseau of Minnetonka, MN.
