Barbara Keetley

Barbara S. Keetley, 61, Detroit Lakes, died Saturday, April 18 at Lamplighter-Ecumen in Detroit Lakes. Funeral Service for Barbara will be held Friday, April 24 at 2PM in David Donehower Funeral Home. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services. Interment will be held in Lakeview Cemetery near Detroit Lakes. Barbara Sue Johnson was born November 29, 1953 in Ironton, OH to Herbert S. and Freida J (Pettit) Johnson. She married her high school sweetheart in 1992 and they had two children. Barbara worked as a secretary for Breezy Shores Resorts for several years. She later worked for Becker County Workshop, assisting disabled individuals with job tasks. In her spare time she enjoyed working on family genealogy, embroidery, taking trips and spending time with family and friends. Her favorite time was during the holiday seasons. She enjoyed decorating her place and always looked forward to holiday family gatherings. Barbara loved animals, especially her lap dog "Bandit".

Barbara is survived by her daughter Lateda (Jeremy) Rodewald of Detroit Lakes, son: Dewayne Johnson of Detroit Lakes, four grandchildren: Kena Mackner, Hunter Rodewald, Chyenne Rose and Adam Nelson, she is also survived by her siblings: Patricia (Randal) Stone of Audubon, Herbert F. Johnson of Perham, David (Kami) Johnson of Columbus, OH, Paul (Lisa) Johnson of Farmington Hills, MI, Brenda (Joe) Holmer of Osage, George (Faye) Johnson of Lake Park, Ralph Dillon, Billy J (Joyce) Johnson of Kingston, TN and Todd Colley of Hollywood, FL. She is preceded in death by her parents and close aunt and uncle: Margaret (Clayton) Abel.
