Betty E. Krueger, 87, Audubon, MN, died Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at Oak Crossing in Detroit Lakes.
Memorial Services for Betty will be held Wednesday, November 2 at 11AM in First Lutheran Church in Audubon, MN. Visitation will be held at David Donehower Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 1 from 5pm-7pm with a 6:30pm prayer service. Interment will be held at First Lutheran Cemetery, rural Audubon. Betty Elaine Severtson was born February 3, 1929 in Lake Park to Ernest and Nora Severtson. She attended District 50 Country School thru the 9th grade and then Lake Park High School graduating with the class of 1947. After high school, Betty attended Business College in Detroit Lakes. After college, she moved to Audubon and became a secretary at the Audubon Co-op Creamery. While working at the creamery, she met the love of her life, Robert Krueger. They were united in marriage on June 7, 1952. Betty and Robert purchased their family farm in 1954 where Betty resided until February 2016. From February until the time of her death, Betty resided at Oak Crossing in Detroit Lakes. Betty volunteered at the Help Desk and Nursing Center Business Office at St. Mary's (Essentia Health) where she accumulated over 1, 000 hours. She was also a member of the VFW Post 6033 Ladies Auxiliary, Ladies Aid, First Lutheran Church Quilters, and "Au-Ha" (Audubon-Hamden) Homemakers. She was a "Busy Betty." She enjoyed traveling, gardening, canning, baking, and spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchild. She was an active cheerleader for her families sporting activities and concerts.
Betty is survived by two daughters, Deborah Jensen of Seattle, WA , Denise (Randy) Wilberg of Audubon, MN; one son Brad Krueger also of Audubon, MN; and grandchildren, Kelsey, Randy Jr, Brady, Megan (Dan), Brittany (Jon), Annie, Rebecca (Rob), Samuel, Theodore; great grandchildren Tali, and Linus. She is preceded in death by her husband Robert "Bob" Krueger, son William C Krueger and her parents.
