Bradley Steen

December 13, 1953 — December 7, 2015

Bradley Weyland Steen December 13, 1953 – December 7, 2015 It is with deep loss, our dear husband, father, son, brother, friend passed away unexpectedly Monday, December 7, 2015 at his home. Brad was born December 13, 1953 to Helmer & Elsa (Johnson) Steen in Hallock, MN. Brad was "raised in the north woods" with his two older brothers and graduated from Lancaster High School in 1971. A few years later Brad enlisted in the Army and received an honorable discharge in 1975. Throughout the years, Brad became a man of multiple trades from working in a lumberyard to an electrician. On December 16, 1985, Brad married Terry Renville in Hallock where they raised their two sons within the surrounding area. In the spring of 1991, they moved to Detroit Lakes, however, they would visit the north woods often throughout the years to visit family and friends. Brad and his family enjoyed the country side by hunting and camping. Brad spent multiple years as a mechanic at Dave's Auto and shared his knowledge of "turning wrenches" with his sons. He later found his "finishing touches" best suited with Syvertson Concrete for over 14 years. While providing his vast knowledge to his sons, Brad was also able to work the "day in day out grind" at Syvertson Concrete with both his sons. Brad is survived by his wife; Terry, two sons; Marshall Steen of Vergas and Jered Steen of Moorhead, mother; Elsa Steen of Hallock, two brothers; Bruce (Michelle) Steen of Lancaster and Barry (Renee) Steen of Moorhead. Preceding Brad in death were his father; Helmer Steen and his grandparents.
