Brenda Keezer

Brenda Lynn Keezer was born March 4, 1986 in Detroit Lakes, MN to Vernon Keezer and Carol Zortman. She was raised and educated near White Earth, MN, graduating from Waubun High School in 2004. During her high school years, Brenda worked as a CNA at Twin Valley Nursing Home along with the Mahnomen Health Care Center. She later worked at Lakes Homes in Detroit Lakes with her last job being at the Shooting Star Casino. With her experience as a CNA, Brenda assisted in the care for her aunt "Honey" during her battle with cancer. On August 14, 2010, Brenda was blessed with a baby boy she named Jayden. Jayden was the light of her life. Brenda loved being outdoors, from her fishing trips with her uncle Randy to going on pontoon rides during the summer with her family. Brenda loved her family immensely especially her grandma Mary. She cherished the times spent with her niece Carissa and brother Jordon. Brenda is survived by her son: Jayden Basswood of Ogema, her mother: Carol (Kevin Madigan) Zortman of Ogema, sister: Amanda Keezer (William Boyer) of Callaway, MN, siblings: Jordon Murray, Michael Maha, Jamie Graves, Thomas Turner, Maggie Oppegard and Corey Bevins along with Jayden's father: Daryl "Cubby" Basswood. She is also survived by her grandparents: Dennis (Mary) Zortman of Ogema, special aunts and uncles: Randall (Christine Herman) Zortman of Ogema, Donna Lynn Zortman of Ogema, Harriet "Dove" (Jerry) Keezer-Thompson of Twin Valley, MN and Lori (Tim) Smith of Ogema and special niece Carissa Englund along with many great aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She is preceded in death by her father Vernon, one brother: Christopher, paternal grandparents: Harry and Irene Keezer, maternal great grandparents: Margaret and Allen Smith Sr., paternal great grandparents: Mae and Willard Zortman, along with many aunts and uncles.
