Carneil Johnson

Carneil L. Johnson, age 50, resident of Hartville, MO, formerly of Detroit Lakes died Saturday, May 2, 2009 as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident near her home. A graveside service will be held at the Vergas Cemetery at 2:00 PM on Sunday, May 24, 2009.

Carneil LaRaye Priem was born May 26, 1958 to Jerry and Arlyss (Arneson) Priem. She grew up in the Frazee, Vergas, and Detroit Lakes area. She attended school in Frazee and Detroit Lakes. She was united in marriage to Danny Johnson and they resided in rural Detroit Lakes where they raised their three children, Corey, Dustin and Bobbi Jo. She later moved to Missouri in 1995 and resided there until the time of her death. Carneil enjoyed bowling and softball and had a deep love for animals, especially horses.

Carneil is survived by her children, Corey (Kristina) Johnson and their son Daniel of Coon Rapids, MN, Dustin (Karla) Johnson of Brooklyn Center, MN and Bobbi Jo Johnson (Justin) and their daughter Abigail of Fargo, ND. She is also survived by four brothers, Dean (Sharon) Priem of Lexington, TX, Tim (Jolyn) Priem of Vergas, MN, Dennis (Barb) Priem of Long Prairie, MN and David (Ranee) Priem of Hot Springs, SD. She was preceded in death by her parents.
