Carole M. Dassinger, age 58, long-time resident of Ogema, MN, passed away peacefully in her sleep, at her home on Saturday, July 16, 2011. A memorial service for Carole will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Ogema, MN. Carole was born August 6, 1952, in Long Island, NY. She moved to Oklahoma as a child. She graduated from High School in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Following high school, Carole attended trade school in Casper, Wyoming. It was in Casper that she met Phillip Dassinger. The couple was united in marriage on September 28, 1976. This union was blessed with one son, James. The couple made their home in Moorhead, MN, then moved to Ulen, MN for a time, eventually settling in Ogema, MN where the couple has resided for 24 years. Carole and her husband Phil enjoyed running their ceramic pottery business, CMD Pottery, for 17 years. Carole also enjoyed her job as a security guard at the Shooting Star Casino where she worked for 18 years.
When she had time, Carole enjoyed attending area craft shows. She also loved the company of her family; especially the time she spent with her two granddaughters: Justice and Kayla. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Phil of Ogema; son James; his fiancAC. Ada Flood; and granddaughters: Justice and Kayla all of Ogema.
