Carole Lee was born to John and Lucille (Sisk) Hodges in Santa Rita, New Mexico on December 22, 1939. Her parents moved to Yuma, Arizona where Carole attended school. After graduating from High School, Carole married Forrest Gerald Pershall, and together they both attended Azusa University, a private, inter-denominational, evangelical Christian University located near Los Angeles. After college, they moved to Colorado Springs and Carole began working for the Western Horseman Magazine, where she remained for 15 years. After 20 years of marriage Forrest and Carole went their separate ways and at this time Carole left the Western Horseman and moved to Seattle, WA., where she began her 20 year career with the Seattle Times.
Forrest and Carole were blessed with three Children; Susan Jeanette (Chip) Wiggin of Canyon Lake, TX, Cynthia Lucille (Greg) King, of Seattle, WA. and Darren Michael (Regina) Pershall of Detroit Lakes, MN. and five grandchildren; Lyndsay Ruth King of Tampa, FL., Jordan Gabrielle King, Seattle, WA., Megan Grey Wiggins and Adam Joseph Gerald Wiggins both of Canyon Lake, TX, and Colton Lucas Roe Pershall of Detroit Lakes, MN. Carole lived a victorious life, and despite her illness, she remained firm in her faith, trusting in her Savior and looking forward to her heavenly home.
