Charles Rodney Johnson was born December 1, 1978 to Paula (Hamm) Burnham and Rodney Johnson in Rochester, MN. Chuck grew up in Minnesota and earned his diploma from Park Rapids High School in 1998. After high school he resided in Moorhead, MN for a short time before returning to the Detroit Lakes area. Chuck lived at New Horizons in Frazee and after a few years he ventured out on his own. At the time of his death he resided at Park Manor in Detroit Lakes.
One of Chucks many passions in life was bowling. He was also a huge sports fanatic. Chuck especially enjoyed wrestling. (He may still be arguing beyond the Pearly Gates, that it is real!) He also enjoyed deer hunting with his brother, Joe. He may never have gotten his deer but it was the time that they would spend together that mattered the most. He was a wonderful brother-in-law. But most of all, Chuck shared an irreplaceable bond with his only brother, Joe. He will be greatly missed by his many friends and family members. Even though the Lord has taken him to be one of his angels, he will live on in our hearts and memories until we all meet again.
Chuck is survived by his mother, Paula and stepfather, Tim Hamm of Grand Rapids, MN; brother, Joseph Johnson and his wife Mandy of Frazee; he was a loving uncle to his niece, Skylie and nephew, Mekiah. He is also survived by his grandmother, Betty Jean Burnham of Lake City, MN; Aunts and Uncles; many cousins; and many friends. He was preceded in death by his Grandma and Grandpa Johnson; Grandpa Burnham; Great-grandma Atkinson.
