Claryce Yvonne Sharp, age 78, of Detroit Lakes, MN, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 3, 2018, at Ecumen-Emmanuel Nursing Home in Detroit Lakes. A celebration of her life will be at 11:00 am on Saturday, October 6, 2018, at Ecumen Chapel, with a time of gathering an hour prior.
Claryce was born on May 19, 1940, to Clarence and Grace (Johnson) Stallman in Detroit Lakes. She spent most of her life in the Moorhead and Detroit Lakes areas. She has resided at the Ecumen- Emmanuel for the past ten years, where she has made many friends and loved to do crafts.
Claryce enjoyed fishing at the lake and outdoors in her beautiful flower gardens. She loved playing Bingo wherever she could find a game. Claryce was an avid coffee drinker. She loved going out to eat and Chinese food was her favorite. She adored her dog, Honey and often shared donuts with her. Claryce enjoyed going to the beauty shop every week and getting her nails and hair done. In her earlier years, she was addicted to the Hodgepodge KDLM Radio Show and called in often. Claryce loved her family and loved spending time with them in her later years.
She is survived by her children: Charlie Klatt of Detroit Lakes, MN; Todd (Diana) Peterson of Collinsville, TX; Terence Peterson of Detroit Lakes, MN; Pamela (Gary) Nelson of Perham, MN; and Bonny Jean of Ponsford, MN; siblings: Gary (Pat) Stallman of Phoenix, AZ; Gene Stallman of Pretty Prairie, KS; Ronald Stallman of Texas; Clarence Stallman of Moorhead, MN; and Rena (Evan) Kubitz of Pelican Rapids, MN; ten grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Grace; a daughter, Cindy Grace Klatt; a grandson, Patrik Peterson; siblings: Darlene, Lenny, Ted, and Art.
