Constance Gray

Constance “Connie” Gray, 80, of Detroit Lakes, MN, passed away on Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at Sanford Hospital in Fargo, ND.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held on Monday. September 9, 2019 at David-Donehower Funeral Home from 5pm to 7pm. The Rosary by the Catholic Daughters will begin at 6:30pm with a Prayer Service to follow at 7pm. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church beginning at 1pm with an hour visitation prior to the service.

Connie Louise Teiken was born on April 16, 1939 in Detroit Lakes, MN to Aloysius and Eva (Bergen) Teiken. She graduated from Waubun High School with the class of 1957. On April 23, 1960, Connie was united in marriage to William Gray at St. Benedicts Catholic Church in White Earth. To this union three sons were born, Todd, Thomas, and Brian. They made their home in Detroit Lakes, MN where Connie enjoyed being home with her three sons and taking care of their home.

Connie enjoyed working on puzzles, cooking, yard work especially gardening, watching old movies, reading and coloring books. She would often listen to her children’s and grandchildren’s sports games on the radio. She loved spending time with family and friends.

Deeply loved, Connie’s passing is mourned by her two sons Thomas Gray and Brian (Toni) Gray; her grandchildren Brandon Gray, Courtney Gray, Jamison Gray and Chandler Gray; her siblings Paul (Judy) Teiken, Elizabeth (Donald) Gilbertson, Dennis (Mary) Teiken and Cheryl Meyer; and a large extended family.

Preceding Connie in death were her parents, her loving husband William, and her son Todd.
