Cyndi was born in Bottineau, ND on April 14, 1955 to Kenneth and Ruth Anne (Connell) Holzgrove. She moved with her family to Detroit Lakes in 1962 where she completed her primary education. Cyndi traveled to Hawaii where she worked for a few years. She returned to Minnesota to attend college and earned her Associate of Arts and Dental Hygiene Degrees from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities Campus in 1981. She returned to Hawaii and practiced Dental Hygiene until returning to Minnesota in 1987. She continued her practice in Minneapolis. Cyndi Kept very active with her favorite past times of fishing with family, friends, and many nieces and nephews. Her many interests included gardening, needle point, knitting, Bible study and dancing traditional hula. She also enjoyed camping, cross country skiing, rafting, snorkeling, and harvesting coffee at her friends? coffee farm in Kona, Hawaii.
Cyndi will be remembered and missed by her brothers; Tom Holzgrove of Minneapolis, MN, Bill Holzgrove of Black Diamond, WA, Dan (Shirley) Holzgrove of Detroit Lakes, MN, sisters; Sharon Haro of St. Louis, Missouri, Paula Vereberg of Lake Park, MN, Peggy (Bob) Wheeler of Park Rapids, MN. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and close friends throughout the United States.
Cyndi is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers; Dick and John and one niece, Jacquelyn Wheeler.
Memorial Services for Cyndi will be held Saturday, May 10, 2008 at 2:00 pm in St. Mary of the Lakes Catholic Church near Detroit Lakes, MN. Father Bob LaPlante officiating. Interment will take place in Kona, Hawaii.
