Darcy Sue Villebrun was born January 27, 1965 to Beryl Marie Bloom and Raymond Arthur Villebrun. She was raised with her four brothers and three sisters by her mother in South Minneapolis. She attended Phillips Jr. High and graduated soon after. Darcy enjoyed traveling to Pow-Wows and dancing "fancy shawl" in contests. She often placed 1st or 2nd. Her favorite place to visit was the Thunder Bay Pow-Wow in Canada. She was partner to David Phillips for nine years and they had two children; Alexis and David Phillips Jr. Darcy moved with her children to the White Earth Reservation where she dealt Black Jack at the casino. She later moved to the Fargo-Moorhead area where she was able to be near her grandchildren and spend treasured time with them. Darcy was a caring, compassionate and understanding mother and will be deeply missed. Survivors include her children: Alexis Phillips of Moorhead and David Phillips Jr. of Moorhead; three grandchildren: Matthew Louis, Ameliah Cara, and Carter Lee all of Moorhead; mother, Beryl Marie Bloom of White Earth; brothers and sisters: Anthony Villebrun of White Earth, Raymond Villebrun of White Earth, Gregory (Louise)
Villebrun of Columbia Heights, Charley Beaupre of Bemidji, Karre Anne Ashley of White Earth, and Stefi Villebrun of Minneapolis. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Margerat (Sigadoo) Williams; father, Raymond Arthur Villebrun; and sister, Cheri Ann Stoa.
