Darlene Marion Taylor

Darlene M. Taylor (93) passed away peacefully on June 19, 2024, at her home in Detroit Lakes, MN. She was born on November 3, 1930, in Little Falls, MN to John and Hilma (Bovie) Ahlbom.

Darlene graduated from Little Falls High School in 1949. She married Harlan Taylor on September 8, 1949. In 1953 they moved to Detroit Lakes, MN to raise their family. In 1975, they started traveling to Florida to spend the winter months.

Darlene enjoyed cooking, working with her flowers, spending time with family and friends, and sharing her faith with others.

In addition to her parents and siblings, she was predeceased by her husband, Harlan; son-in-law John McRae; daughter-in-law Jane Taylor; and grandchildren Summer and Dustin Taylor.

She is survived by her five (5) children, Wayne (Beatrice) Taylor, Diane McRae, Cheryl Taylor, all residing in Detroit Lakes MN; Alan Taylor, of Alma, CO; Mike (Shelly) Taylor, of Apopka FL, and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 29, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 18025 Willow Springs Rd, Detroit Lakes, MN. Visitation will start one (1) hour prior, at 1:00 p.m.
