David Jepson

David Allen Jepson was born August 27, 1931 at the family home in Evergreen Township, rural Frazee the 8th of 11 children of Raymond and Floretta (Seger) Jepson. He grew up and attended District 84 rural school in Evergreen Township. David worked numerous jobs in Grand Forks, ND, Fargo, ND and Grand Rapids, MN prior to moving to Oregon in 1952. He was drafted into the army, serving with the 10th infantry in Germany for 1 1/2 years. Following his discharge, he returned to Medford. OR. David was united in marriage to Delores June Wier, November 12, 1955 in Roseburg, OR. They made their home in Roseburg for the next 15 years and David worked doing paving. In October, 1969, he moved his wife and family to Frazee, MN where he farmed and continued to work construction with George E. Haggart of Fargo, ND. David enjoyed Fishing, hunting, reading, telling stories with his family and especially enjoyed time spent with his grand and great-grandchildren. David will be greatly missed by his wife, family members and friends. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Delores of Frazee, 5 sons: Dennis (Sally) of Frazee, Lawrance (Deanna) of Frazee, Russell (Gloria) of Frazee, Jeff of Frazee, Steve (Lisa) of Frazee, ten grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 2 brothers, Robert of Frazee and Ernest (Shirley) of Frazee, 2 sisters: Betty Palubecki of Perham, MN, Olive Erkkila of Eugene, OR, a sister-in-law, Laverna Jepson of Frazee and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death bty his parents, 4 brothers: Ralph, George, James and Donovan, 2 sisters, Edna Bendt and Isabelle Fretheim
