David Roy

David Charles Roy was born October 8, 1912 in White Earth, MN to Joseph and Mary Roy. He married Susan Jackson in White Earth February 7, 1944. He served with the U. S. Army from March 22, 1944 to November 18, 1945. Following his discharge, he returned to White Earth where he worked in the woods and was a farm hand. He enjoyed being out doors, hunting, trapping, harvesting wild rice and dancing. He and Susan were proud of the fact that they once won a dance contest. Susan died in 1995 and David entered St. Mary?s Nursing Center in Detroit Lakes in January, 2003.



Survivors include his children Joseph and his wife Judy of White Earth, Alvin of Duluth, MN and Trudy Ann Roy of St. Paul, MN, 4 grandchildren and numerous great and great great grandchildren. In addition to his wife, Susan, he was preceded in death by 4 brothers and sisters. David-Donehower
