David Stone

David L. Stone, age 48, resident of Walla Walla, WA, died Tuesday, March 10, 2009 at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Walla Walla. Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, March 17 at the Old Pine Point School, Ponsford, MN, Mother Lisa Smith, officiating. Interment will be in Breck Memorial Episcopal Cemetery, Ponsford, MN.

Visitation will be Monday, March 16 from 4:00 PM until the time of the service on Tuesday at the Old Pine Point School.

David Lee Stone was born August 25, 1960 in White Earth, MN to Eleanor Stone. He was raised in Detroit Lakes, MN and in 1965 David and his family moved St. Paul, MN. He attended school in St. Paul. He worked as a mechanic in various states before settling in Washington State to be near his kids. On September 21, 2002 David was united in marriage with Dorothy Walkiewicz in Las Vegas, NV. They made their home in Woodhaven, MI, often traveling back to Washington to visit his kids. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching Nascar and football, and spending time with his family and friends, but most importantly his children.

David is survived by his wife Dorothy Stone, Woodhaven, MI; his children, Christina Stone, Paris Stone, Kevin Stone, Jennifer Stone and Jonathan Stone, all living in Washington; his mother, Eleanor Stone of Woodbury, MN; sisters, Diane Johnson, Cheryl Stone, Carleen Simmons, Lisa Stone, Kari Stone; one brother, Kevin Stone, all of St. Paul, MN; and one granddaughter, Katelyn. He was preceded in death by his grandmother and his many aunts and uncles.
