David "Tex" Tingesdahl

David “Tex” Lynn Tingesdahl was born September 21, 1957 in Pomona, California, the son of Clifford and Marlys (Nesemeier) Tingesdahl. He passed away January 20, 2020 at Essentia Health in Fargo, North Dakota.

Tex grew up in Medford, Oregon, Victor Montana and Perham before graduating in Barnesville with the class of 1976. Tex worked with Building Sprinkler Company in Fargo while he lived on Little Toad Lake.

On September 23, 1995 he was united in marriage to Ranae Vogt at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Height of Land and to this union a son David Jr was born. The family made their home near Rochert.

Tex cut wood and worked construction raising barns. He also worked for Northern Star Dairy, Team Industries, KLN in Perham, and turkey insemination.

He was the ultimate woodsman, enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping, hiking, and spending time outdoors with nature. Tex loved all animals and was an expert horseman, riding and training horses and pack mules.

Tex is survived by his wife Ranae Tingesdahl; son, David Tingesdahl Jr; mother, Marlys Tingesdahl; uncle, Dwight Nesemeier; and 26 foster sisters and brothers.

He was preceded in death by his father Clifford Tingesdahl in 2011.
