Dean Frederick Long

Dean Frederick Long, 79 of Frazee, Minnesota died on Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at his home surrounded by his dog, Sadie, and wife, Barbara, by his side.

Dean was born on June 24, 1944, the son of Wendell and Vi (Meyenberg) Long in Montevideo, Minnesota. Dean graduated at Detroit Lakes High School in 1962. After graduation, Dean went on to be a truck driver for a number of years. Then he went on to be a car salesman until his retirement. Dean was united in marriage with Barbara Ulschmid on December 29, 1979. They made their home in Frazee, Minnesota. Dean was an avid Nascar and Pro Golf watcher. He also enjoyed spending time with the many Schnauzers they had over the years.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara, brother, John (Joan) Long, many nieces and nephews as well as many great nieces and nephews. He is proceeded in death by his parents, two brothers, Robert and Jim, sisters-in-law, Donna Long and Karen Long, and two nephews, Mike Long and Scott Long.
