Deanne Elizabeth Binde, 21, of Lake Park, MN, loving daughter, sister, aunt and friend passed on to a better place on May 22, 2008, as a result of a car accident near Woodbury, MN. The Funeral celebrating Deannes new life will be 11:00 AM Thursday, May 29 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Lake Park, with Father Bob LaPlante officiating. Interment will be in the St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Lake Park.
Visitation will be held 5:00-8:00 PM Wednesday, May 28 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Lake Park with a Prayer Service at 7:00 PM and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday.
Deanne Elizabeth Binde was born September 4, 1986 in Fargo, ND to Dale and Debbie (Saunders) Binde, the fifth of seven children. She grew up on a farm in rural Lake Park where she attended Lake Park/Audubon School. Deanne was involved in 4-H, AWANA, FCCLA, Eksjo Youth Group, Drama, Band, Choir, Speech, Sports and teaching Sunday School. She also loved to read and debate. Deanne graduated with honors in 2005. After high school, she attended Goshen College in Goshen, IN. She had just completed her junior year, majoring in Communications and Theatre Arts. At school, she performed in, directed, and managed numerous plays, DJayed for The Globe (the college radio station), played softball, recycled at ECO-PAX Environmental Club, participated in the Catholic Student Association, and served in the Student-Service mission program in the Dominican Republic. In the community, Deanne volunteered at New World (the community theatre), Meals on Wheels, and LaCasa, as well as working at Greencroft Nursing Home.
Deanne is survived by her parents, Dale and Debbie Binde of Lake Park; five sisters, Dawn Rasmussen of Moorhead, MN, Dorothy (Tony) Flood of Fargo, Danette (Paul) Wichmann of Minneapolis, MN, Desiree Binde of Fargo, and Dixie Binde of Lake Park; one brother, Daniel Binde of Lake Park; one nephew, Eyevin, son of Desiree Binde; grandmother, Marian Saunders of Fargo; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by grandparents, Paul and Therese Binde and Charles Saunders; one uncle, Boyd Binde; one cousin, Scottie Saunders.
