Dennis Oveson

Dennis L. Oveson, age 54, died at his home on November 8, following a long illness. Services are scheduled for Friday, November 12 at 10:00 am from the David-Donehower Funeral Home in Detroit Lakes. Dennis Leroy Oveson was born February 14, 1956 in Littlefork, MN. to Elmer and Mildred ( Olsen ) Oveson. He grew up and attended school in International Falls, MN. Dennis served in the United States Marines. In 1987 he married Frankie Bunnis, and in 1988 they moved to Detroit Lakes. Dennis was an avid hunter, fisherman and gardener. He also loved to play guitar. Dennis is survived by his wife, Frankie, one sister; Janette Hubbard of Cedar Bluff, AL. Four step-children, eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister
