Devin L. Thompson, 19, Hinckley, MN, formerly of White Earth, died Friday, October 8, 2010 at his home. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 AM Friday, October 15 at St. Benedict’s Catholic Church in White Earth, MN, Fr. Walter Butor, O. M. I., officiating. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, White Earth.

Friends may call from 2:00 PM Thursday until 9:30 AM Friday at the White Earth Community Center and at the church from 10:00 – 11:00 AM Friday.

Devin Louis Thompson was born August 5, 1991 in Detroit Lakes, MN to Richard Thompson and Mickie Bevins. He was raised in White Earth, MN and attended the Circle of Life School in White Earth; Waubun (MN) Public Schools and St. Michael’s School in Anoka, MN. He moved to Hinckley, MN in 2009 and was employed with Grand Casino – Hinckley at the time of his death.

Devin enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, mostly his children; hunting with his best friend, Ed Dakota; leeching, being in the outdoors, riding his 4-wheeler, playing his Play Station 3, listening to music, spending time with and doing things with his brother, Richard and his sister, Dayna.

Survivors include his special friend and the mother of his children: Tamela Schwender; a son: Cass L. Thompson and a daughter: Olivia Thompson all of Hinckley; his parents: Mickie & Jeff Potter ~ White Earth; Richard Thompson ~ Naytahwaush, MN; a brother: Richard (Amanda) Thompson ~ White Earth; a sister: Dayna Thompson ~ White Earth; half brothers: Kendall Thompson ~ Naytahwaush, Harrison Thompson ~ Naytahwaush; Anthony Hanks ~ Minneapolis, MN, Preston Walz ~ Mahnomen, MN; half sisters: Irene Thompson ~ Naytahwaush, Desiree Thompson ~Callaway, MN, step-sisters: Shantel Brun ~ Red Lake, MN, Brittany Little Wolf ~Red Lake, MN, Erica Potter ~ Minneapolis, MN, Kayana Big Bear ~ Isle, MN, Step-brother: Joseph (Candice) Potter ~ White Earth; grandparents: Philip & Donna Warren ~White Earth; Deborah Johnson ~ White Earth; great-grandparents: Ed Warren ~ White Earth, Bev Stoll ~Detroit Lakes; step grandparents: Pat & Joe Potter ~ White Earth; Special aunts & uncles: Kibby, Lacey, Angela, Paula, Wendy, Dolly, Rita, Sewell, Mike, Joe, and Ed.
