Donald Fineday

Donald J. Fineday, age 58, resident of Perham, MN, died Thursday, March 4, 2010 at the Perham Memorial Hospital in Perham.

Donald Joseph Fineday was born October 29, 1951 in Ponsford, MN to Willis Rock and Susan M. Fineday. At the age of three, he moved to Cambridge State Hospital. He also lived in Brainerd, MN and Fergus Falls, MN. In 1994, he moved to Perham. He attended Productive Alternatives during his stay there. He loved going to Pow-Wows and especially his trips to the Dairy Queen for his ice cream sandwiches.   Donald enjoyed being outdoors, soaking up the sun when ever possible. He also enjoyed watching dogs as they ran around and played.   Donald also valued the time he spent with his Native American mentor, Leonard Potter.

He is survived by his brothers: Ronald Findeday of Mahnomen, MN, Franklin Saylor of Minneapolis, MN, Patrick Fineday of Detroit Lakes, MN, sisters: LaVonne Fineday of Pahrump, NV, Geneiva Schmidt of Roseau, MN, Susan Stommes of LeRoy, MN and Verna Bobby of Janesville, MN along with special friend Helen Kivi-Clark.
