Donald Trowbridge

Donald Richard Trowbridge was born September 5, 1929 in Frazee, MN to Richard and Eleanor (Karsnia) Trowbridge. He was raised and educated in Frazee and served with the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Doc was united in marriage to Shirley Forsberg, February 18, 1956 in Frazee. They made their home in Frazee where Doc worked for Boarder States Construction and then, for many years for Driveway Services. They moved to Detroit Lakes in 1992 and to Lamplighter Manor in 2009. Shirley died in 2010. Doc loved and cherished time with his family. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping, catching snapping turtles, playing the guitar and singing for groups at area nursing homes, and painting saws, welcome signs and rocks. He signed his work "Bright Skies" Survivors include 4 children: Kim (Darwin) Samuelson of Detroit Lakes, Jody (Mark) Borgen of Audubon, MN, Rick (Carol) of Moorhead, Kristi Anderson of Detroit Lakes; 9 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, a brother, Jim of Jacobson, MN, In addition to his wife, Shirley, he was preceded in death by a son, Jamie and a sister-in-law, Mary Ann.
