Donna Irene (Bunker) Barnett, age 56, of Detroit Lakes, MN, passed away Friday, February 19, 2010 at Innovis Hospital in Fargo, ND.
Donna was born on November 13, 1953, to Charles and Florence (Jackson-Oshkinowe) Bunker in Park Rapids, MN. Donna grew up in Minneapolis, MN where she attended school. Donna was blessed with 11 children that she raised in Minneapolis. She made her home in the Detroit Lakes, MN area in 1997. She gained employment at the Frazee Care Center where she worked for a time. When Donna was not busy raising her family, she enjoyed to sew, draw, do bead work. She also was an avid bingo player and spent time traveling across the United States. She was a sports fan as well and cheered on the Minnesota Twins and Vikings. She was known for her kind smile, her laughter and her happy demeanor. Above all, Donna enjoyed the time she spent with her children and grandchildren.
Donna is survived by 10 children: Tanya (George) Taylor of Minneapolis, MN, William Bunker of Minneapolis, Travis Bunker of New York Mills, MN, Edwin Barnett of White Earth, Christopher Barnett of Lake Park, MN, Tina (Chad) Thompson of Detroit Lakes, Justin Barnett of Frazee, MN, Chantel Paquette of Moorhead, MN, Tara Paquette of Detroit Lakes, and Terrance Paquette of White Earth; sister, Roxanne Bellanger of Brainerd, MN; brother, Joseph Neeland of Minneapolis; cousin Janice Saice and well as many other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Francis Paquette Jr.; grandson, Nevada Joseph Morrison; 3 sisters: Carol Heinonen, Betty Boswell and Judith Bursaw; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
