DORIS MARILYN JENSEN
Doris Marilyn Jensen formerly of Madelia passed away on July 22, 2008, at St Mary’s Hospital in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. She was born in Madelia on June 1, 1923. She graduated from Madelia High School in 1941. Doris left Madelia in the 1970’s and made her home in Tucson, Arizona. During the past two years she made her summer home in Detroit Lakes with Dr. Lowell and Shannon Wenberg.
Doris took training in Medical Technology in Minneapolis. She was employed by Dr. Clair James in Madelia, at St. Joseph Hospital in Mankato, and worked at the Sutton Allergy Clinic in Tucson. She was active with the Tucson Hearing Society and Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Tucson where she sang in the church choir.
Doris
was preceded in death by her parents Frederick C. Jensen ( 5/17/1876 - 10/30/1961) and Nellie Augusta Nelson Jensen ( 6/10/1882 - 2/22/1968 ) of Madelia. Also siblings: Myrtle Jensen Wenberg of Mt. Lake; Glenda Jensen of Madelia; Earl Jensen of Mt. Home AR; Fordyce J. Jensen of Fairmont; also Winslow, Warner, and Kenneth Jensen who died in early childhood in Madelia.
Doris has five surviving nieces and nephews: Ronald Wenberg and Dr. Lowell Wenberg from Detroit Lakes, formerly of Mt. Lake; Ellen Jensen from Madrid IA and Stephen Jensen from Biloxi MS, formerly of Madelia: and Ford Jensen from Walker MN, formerly of Fairmont.
