Douglas Lund

Douglas P. Lund, 55, Lake Park, MN, died Tuesday, December 9 at his home. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, December 16 at the David-Donehower Funeral Home in Detroit Lakes, Reverend James Clausen, officiating. Interment will be in the Kingo Lutheran Cemetery, Fosston, MN. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Tuesday.


Douglas Paul Lund was born December 9, 1953 in Fosston, MN to Albert “Prince” and Helen (Jensen) Lund. He is a 1972 graduate of Fosston High School. Following graduation, he attended the Bemidji (MN) Area Vocational Technical College auto mechanics course. He worked for Francis Peterson Motors and later for Muscatell Auto both in Moorhead, MN.Doug loved to go fishing, working on cars and being with his friends. He was a member of the Cormorant Sportsman’s Club.Survivors include a sister, Victoria Clausen of St. Cloud, MN; a niece, Christy (Kim) Taylor and a nephew, Matt Clausen. He was preceded in death by his father in 1975; his mother in 2001; brother, Chuck in 1969 and a nephew, Tom Clausen in 2000.
