Douglas Paulsen

Douglas Wayne Paulsen was born May 24, 1946 in St. Paul, MN to Irvin and Joyce (Thorson) Paulsen. He was raised and educated in St. Paul and is a 1964 graduate of Humboldt High School. Doug was united in marriage to Mary Veronen, November 12, 1977 at the Ft. Snelling Chapel in St. Paul. They made their home in St. Paul and Cottage Grove, MN where Doug worked as a Security Officer for the State Of Minnesota. He retired in the late 1990's and the couple moved to Detroit Lakes in 2010. Doug enjoyed hunting, fishing, polishing his car, the Minnesota Twins, the Minnesota Vikings and the St. Paul Saints. Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Mary of Detroit Lakes, 2 adopted daughters, Josette (Mike) Ihrke of St. Paul, MN, Paulette Cloutier of Franklin, NC, 3 grandchildren, Bryanna, Michael, Anastasia, a sister, Janice (James) Mott of St. Paul, MN. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Logan, a sister, Shirley and a brother, Lloyd.
