Duane Eugene Struthers was born July 14, 1943 in Seattle, WA to Robert and Lola (Jacobsen) Struthers. He attended Bothell High School in Bothell, WA. Duane served with the U. S. Navy where he had an active part in the Cuban Embargo. Following his discharge, he returned to Bothell. He was united in marriage to Anna Willey in September, 1964 in Bothell. They later divorced. Duane married Dolores Meisch September 2, 1980 in Seattle, WA. They made their home in Seattle where he was employed with Fitz Auto Wrecking. They moved to Mahnomen, MN in 1990. They later moved to Detroit Lakes and then to Callaway. Since coming to this area, he has worked for Swift & Company; for Merle Hough, Inc. and for Foltz Trucking, all in Detroit Lakes, and for the Shooting Star Casino in Mahnomen.
Duane enjoyed time with his family, fishing, camping and time with his dogs: Snow and Nikki..
Duane is survived by his wife: Dolores of Callaway; children: Angela Struthers of rural Ogema, MN, Shawna (Jack) Jones of Kirkland, WA, Charles (Dale) Albrecht of Detroit Lakes, Katrina (Dennis) Hoefs of Callaway, MN, Eric Albrecht of Callaway, MN, Michael (Danielle) Struthers of Fargo, ND; nineteen Grandchildren; five Great-Grandchildren; three Brothers: Vernon (Audrey) of Othello, WA, Lorn (Kathy) of Seattle, WA, James of Coon Rapids, MN and one Sister: Donna Siler of Seattle, WA.
