Elizabeth P. "Beth" Ott, 64, resident of Detroit Lakes, died Thursday, March 12 surrounded by her loving family at the Frazee Care Center. Funeral Services for Beth will be held Friday, March 20 at 2PM in David Donehower Funeral Home. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service. Interment will be in the Ogema Community Cemetery, Ogema. Lunch to follow at the Ogema VFW. Elizabeth Pearl Borah was born May 9, 1950 in White Earth, MN to Jennings and Ardette (Bisson) Borah. She graduated from Frazee High School in 1968. On June 15, 1968 she was united in marriage to Ron Hazelton. They would later divorce. In 1976, Beth met Richard "Dickie" King. They remained close friends until Dickie passed away. Beth met Andy Ott in the summer of 1982. After six years of courtship, they were united in marriage in 1988. Andy passed away in 1993. Beth worked various jobs throughout her life. She worked at the turkey plants in both Detroit Lakes and Frazee. She also was employed with the Mecca Supper Club, Ogema Liquor Store, Corner Café in Ogema, and Shooting Star Casino. In 1985 she received her EMT certification and worked with White Earth Ambulance for several years. In her spare time, Beth enjoyed bead work, crocheting, fishing, baking, tending to her gardens and dancing. What brought her the most joy in life where her trips to the casino and most importantly time spent with her children, grandchildren and friends. Beth is survived by her children: Rick (Kayla) Hazelton of White Earth, Rhonda (Bill) Purington of Detroit Lakes, Robert Hazelton of White Earth, Marie Jo (Mike) King of Audubon, Marjorie (Matt) Hughes of Audubon and Jennings (Amber) Ott of Fargo along with one step-daughter: Candee (Chris) Elder of Calimesa, CA, 20 grandchildren and one grandchild on the way. She is also survived by her mother: Ardette Bisson of Detroit Lakes, siblings: Earl (Arlys) Borah of Pelican Rapids, Floyd Borah of Detroit Lakes, Susan (Wayne) Hanks of White Earth, Wade (Karen) Borah of Ogema and three sisters-in-law: Nancy Borah of Fargo, Cyndi Kjos of Detroit Lakes and Marjorie Breskamp of Newport, MN, one brother-in-law: Lee Ott of Ft. Madison, IA and step-mother: Margaret Borah of Tucson, AZ She is preceded in death by her grandparents, her father, Jennings Borah, special friend: Dickie King, husband: Andy Ott and one brother: Kevin Borah.
