On the morning of July 20th, 2024, Elizabeth "Libby" Nell Storm of Perham, MN, passed away peacefully at her home. She was 77 years old. The exceptional care she received from every nurse, doctor, and support staff at Sanford Medical Center was a great source of comfort to the family. The family is also deeply grateful for the support they received at home from Hospice of the Red River Valley.
Libby was born to Tom and Ida (Evans) Cain in Bartow, Florida, on December 12th, 1947. She met the love of her life, her husband of 57 years, William "Bill" Dean Storm. They were married on April 4th, 1967. They started their life and family in Florida, welcoming two sons, Keith and William "Bill." They began their family adventures in Florida, later moving to Minnesota, where they welcomed Amanda into the family.
Libby's life was a celebration of love and family. Her biggest passion was her husband and family, a source of endless love, joy, and fulfillment. Libby's love for antiques, art, gardening, and reading while enjoying the porch on Little Pine Lake reflected her vibrant spirit. She had a kind heart for all animals, especially her dogs, with Jozi holding a special place in her heart. She created countless memories for many people and always cherished time with her loved ones.
Libby was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Judy. She is survived by her husband Bill, their sons Keith (Amy) Storm and William "Bill" (Elizabeth) Storm, daughter Amanda (Katie Christensen) Storm, granddaughters Brittany, Katie, and Spencer, five great-grandchildren, her sister Mabel Fletcher, brother Tom (Sandy) Cain, and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial Services will be on Friday July 26, 2024; 11:00 a.m. at the Bakke Lutheran Church, Detroit Lakes, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to services. Interment will be in the Bakke Lutheran Church Cemetery. Arrangement have been entrusted to the David-Donehower Funeral Home of Detroit Lakes.
