Elmer W. “Skip” Gullickson, Ponsford, died Saturday, May 10 at his residence.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Dinner is planned for Saturday, May 25 at 12pm in the White Earth Community Center in White Earth. Interment of ashes will take place at St. Columba Episcopal Cemetery in White Earth.
Elmer William Gullickson, known to everyone as “Skip” was born July 2, 1968 in Minneapolis, MN to Elmer and Ruth Ann (Kier) Thompson. He grew up in the Minneapolis area and also Pine Point. After school he started working in construction. Skip operated heavy equipment for several years until he started repairing small engines. Skip was very handy and could fix and repair anything you placed in front of him. His true enjoyment was working on cars. In his spare time he enjoyed a day out fishing, leeching and spending time with family and friends. He also enjoyed throwing horseshoes, billiards and cribbage. His family will always remember his famous saying “Carry on…..Carry on”.
Skip is survived by his children: one daughter Amanda, two sons: Michael and Ryan, four grandchildren, two step-daughters: Zoey and Layla and one step-son: Javon. In addition he is survived by four brothers: Marty, Russell, Kevin and Damion along with many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers: Kieron Brown and Raymond Brown.
