Ethel J. Nassett-Bryant, 84 of Tomah, died Thursday, June 2, 2011 at the Tomah Memorial Hospital. She was born on July 5, 1926 to Knudt and Josephine (Miller) Nassett in Becker County, Minnesota. She was united in marriage to Jack Bryant on January 14, 1950 in Denver, Colorado. Ethel attended the St. Luke's School of Nursing in Duluth, Minnesota. She worked in numerous areas in the nursing profession. She worked for the Detroit Lakes Clinic until 1964 where she then took a nursing job at the Tomah Department of Veterans Affairs. She worked at the VA for 11 years until her retirement in 1991. Ethel was a very caring person who helped countless individuals during her nursing career.
She is survived by her children, Patrick Bryant of Bailys Harbor, MN and Michael Bryant of Tomah, grandchildren, Jeffery Reek of Fargo, Sarah (Charlie) Diamond of Knoxville, TN, Amy Bryant of Tomah, Amber ( Brad ) Olson of Detroit Lakes, and Casey Bryant of Breezy Point, MN, four great-grandchildren, a sister Marion Dwyer, many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jack, 5 sisters and 4 brothers, numerous sisters-in-law, and brothers-in-law. A Memorial service will be held on Sunday, June 5, 2011, 2:30 P.M.at the Sonnenburg Family Funeral Home, 801 E. Monowau Street, Tomah. Pastor Bob Streeter will officiate. A Graveside Committal service will be held on Tuesday, June 7, 2011, 1:00 P.M. in the Egelund Lutheran Cemetery Holmesville township Relatives and friends are invited to call on Sunday at the funeral home 1:00 P.M. until the time of the service.
