Evelyn Peck

Evelyn Mae Peck, age 74, of Detroit Lakes, MN, died, Thursday, October 15, 2015, at her residence. Funeral Services for Evelyn will be held Tuesday, October 20 at 1PM in Zion Lutheran Church, Detroit Lakes. Visitation will be held Monday, October 19 at David Donehower Funeral Home from 5pm-7pm. Visitation will continue at the church one hour prior to services on Tuesday. Interment will be held in Oak Grove Cemetery. Evelyn Peck was born to Lilly and Hjalmar Gustafson on February 17, 1941 in Detroit Lakes, MN. She grew up and attended school in Detroit Lakes. In her later teen years, she worked in a bakery and it was there she met the love of her life, Robert Peck. The couple married on January 3, 1959. Evelyn enjoyed baking, sewing and crafts. She loved dogs, and was a very loving, kind and gentle person to all who knew her. Surviving Evelyn are two daughters: Barbara (Jose) Rivera of Euless, TX, and Deborah (Donovan) Morrison of Ogema, MN; four sons: Donald (Patty) of Kentwood, MI, Ronald (Christy) of Wilton, ND, Greg (Tina) of Jacksonville, FL, and Robert (Karen) of Boyd, TX; twenty-two grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; and her beloved pet, Rosco. Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Robert Peck; three sisters and two brothers.
