Frances Rabideaux

Frances Darlene Peart Rabideaux, known as "Pat", was born March 18, 1928 in Breckenridge, Minnesota to Ben and Mabel (Christopherson) Swenson. She was raised in Fargo, ND where, following her education, she worked for Northwestern Bell Telephone. Pat was united in marriage to Leo Rabideaux, June 16, 1947 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Fargo. She was the librarian for St. Anthony's School for many years, retiring in 1989. Pat and Leo moved to Pelican Lake south of Detroit Lakes full time in 1987. Pat served as a Campfire Girl Leader, a Boy Scout Leader, past president of the Belle's of St. Mary's, coordinator of the Mitten Tree at St. Mary of the Lakes, was a strong supporter of the Shanley First Nighters and decorated for and catered many weddings at the Fargo Knights of Columbus Hall. She treasured time with her family, enjoyed ceramics, time at the lake watching the kids swim, family parties and WeFest. Survivors include her husband, Leo of Detroit Lakes, nine daughters and two sons: Sheila Rabideaux of Audubon, MN, Marcia Rabideaux of Detroit Lakes, Renee (Tim) Sletmoe of Fargo, ND, Monica (Jerry) Gerberding of Moorhead, MN, Michelle (Frank) Lang of Fargo, ND, Rachelle (Tim) Lautt of Enderlin, ND, Annette Rabideaux of Detroit Lakes, Joe (Tammy) Rabideaux of Barnesville, MN, Colette (Craig) Jungberg of Hickson, ND, Jeanette (Craig) Dickey of Audubon, MN, Dean (Tracy) Rabideaux of Audubon, a daughter-in-law: Phyllis Rabideaux of Detroit Lakes, MN, 25 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. She also leaves behind her special puppy Daisy. She was preceded in death by a son, Leo Rabideaux, a granddaughter, Jessica and her parents
