Fredrick L. Jackson, 87, of White Earth, MN died Tuesday, January 13 at the Mahnomen Health Care Center. The Funeral Service will be 11:00 AM Saturday, January 17 at St. Columba Episcopal Church in White Earth with Mother Lisa Smith officiating. Interment will be in St. Columba Episcopal Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM Friday, January 16 until the time of the service on Saturday at the White Earth Community Center.
Fredrick Louis Jackson was born November 23, 1921 to Lillian Jackson in White Earth where he was raised and educated. He served with the U.S. Army 1942 – 1949. Following his discharge from the service he moved to Minneapolis, MN. Fredrick returned to white Earth where he made his home for the rest of his life. Fredrick was a member of Jess-Omundson Post 1676 of the V.F.W. He enjoyed time with his children and grandchildren, going for rides, hunting, and fishing.
Fredrick is survived by his children, Kevin Jackson of Rush City, MN, Fredrick W. Jackson of Rush City, Loretta Jackson of Ponsford, Barbara Sue Jackson of Ponsford; seven grandchildren; sister, Ethel Rose Jackson of White Earth; two brothers, Joseph Jackson of White Earth and Ed Jackson of Detroit Lakes. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lillian; grandson, Matthew Jackson.
