Gerald Engstrom

Gerald E. Engstrom, known as "Bud" was born May 8, 1938 to Edwin and Alma (Kyllo) Engstrom. He graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1960 and married Lois Ratz in Detroit Lakes that same summer. Following his service in the U.S. Army, he returned to Minneapolis where he taught at the University of Minnesota and several Twin City Area Vocational-Technical Colleges. He was actively involved in youth activities at Golden Valley (MN) Lutheran Church.
Bud is survived by his children, Beth (Bruce) O'Brien, Kimberly (Andrew) Marceau, Michael (Suzanne) Engstrom; grandchildren, Michaela, Tyler, Emma and William; and their mother/grandmother Lois Engstrom. He is also survived by two brothers, Robert (Phyllis) Engstrom, James (Alice) Engstrom; many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin and Alma Engstrom. Memorials are preferred to St. Peter's Lutheran Church or the donor's choice
