Gregory P. Norcross, 45, Ponsford, MN, died Saturday, July 4 from injuries received in an automobile accident near Ponsford. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Thursday, July 9 at the Pine Point Community Center in Ponsford, Mike Doll and Mike Swan, officiating. Interment will be in the Norcross Family Cemetery near Ponsford. Friends may call from 4:00 PM Wednesday, July 8 until the time of the service on Thursday at the community center in Ponsford.
Gregory Paul Norcross was born March 26, 1964 in Park Rapids, MN to Myron and Margaret (Rock) Norcross. He was raised and educated in Ponsford and attended Park Rapids High School. He later attended Moorhead State College where he took some writing classes and the Northwest Technical College in Detroit Lakes where he took the Chef’s training Course. Having been disabled in an accident at the age of 15, he spent the past 20 years living in the Fargo-Moorhead and Ponsford areas.
Greg enjoyed writing poetry, visiting, teasing his friends, riding his bike, listening to music on his headphones and giving gifts to his nieces, nephews and friends.
Survivors include three sisters: Joyce (George “Lou” Warren) Norcross; Rhonda Lopez and Lorene (Terry Peake) Norcross all of Ponsford; a half-sister: Melissa (John Leigland) Norcross of Ponsford; four adopted brothers: Reggie Meeks of Kentucky, Tom Pearce of Kentucky, Rob Peasley of Little Canada, MN and Mike Doll of Ogema, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles.
