Hilma Bice-Hunt

May 24, 1927 — February 16, 2014

Hilma A. Bice-Hunt died in Apache Junction, AZ. from complications of Alzheimers. She was 86. Hilma was born to Leon and Mary Wander in Waubun, Minnesota. She married Robert Bice in 1945, and together raised eight children. They lived on a farm northeast of Waubun. Robert passed away in 1987 and Hilma moved to Detroit Lakes in 1990. She worked for Arctic Cat and Service Cleaners. In 2001, Hilma met Dennis Hunt, and they married in Hawaii on January 7, 2002. Hilma and Dennis spent the past 11 winters in Arizona. Hilma loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved dancing and her dancing friends, fishing, traveling, flowers and cooking. Hilma is survived by her husband Dennis and her children: Amy McFarland of Bremerton, WA., Irene Stokes of Kingston, WA., Ray Bice of Port Orchard, WA., Kenneth Bice of Deer Lodge, Montana, Lois Milsten and Fay Ann Smith of Dilworth, Frank Bice of Waubun and Mary Jane Etter of Menahga, and over 50 grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her first husband Robert, her parents, her five brothers: Leonard, Orville, Walter, Archie and Jay and five sisters: Irene, Ester, Ella, Jeanette and Rosalie.
