Inez F. Clark, 92, Detroit Lakes, MN, died Friday, January 9, 2015 at Oak Crossing, Detroit Lakes.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, January 15 at 1PM in Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Detroit Lakes. Visitation will be held one hour prior to Mass. Interment will be held in the spring at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery. Inez Francis Stallman was born March 1, 1922 in Osakis, MN to Theodore and Nicoline (Haaland) Stallman. She grew up on the family farm in White Earth and graduated from Waubun High School in 1940. Shortly after high school, WWII started. Inez moved to Milwaukee, WI and worked at a factory making parachutes and winter clothing for soldiers overseas. In October of 1945, Inez was united in marriage to Edman Clark and together they resided in Detroit Lakes. A wonderful homemaker, Inez was a talented seamstress, a great cook and baker and along with raising a family, she graciously volunteered her time with ladies circles at Holy Rosary Catholic Church and Emmanuel Nursing Home helping residents with hair and assisting with Mass every Friday. Inez took great pride in always looking her best and found much enjoyment in helping residents at Emmanuel achieve the same feeling. She was very proud of her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Inez will be remembered and missed by her two sons and two daughters: Sonny Clark of Spring Park, MN, Timothy (Betty) Clark of Loganville, GA, Linda (Harris) Anderson of Chipley, FL and Nicoline (David) Disher of Cavalier, ND. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter along with one sister: LaVonne Jensen of Appleton, WI.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Edman and six sisters and four brothers: Sylvester Stallman, Marjorie Johnson, Crysenthia Monroe, Clarence Stallman, Donald Stallman, Mildred Maves, Duane Stallman, Virginia Nelson, Ada Stallman and infant sister: Inez Josephine who died at birth.
