Isabelle "Izzy" Goodman

Isabelle Marie "Izzy" Goodman was born May 18th, 1957, to Lawrence Joseph Butcher & Helen Jane (Rock) Butcher. Izzy passed away peacefully on February 4th, 2023, at Ecumen assisted living facility in Detroit Lakes, MN.

Izzy grew up in The Village of Pine Point and graduated from Park Rapids area school.  She would go on to attend and graduate from culinary school in Detroit Lakes. On October 8th, 1988, Izzy Was united in marriage to Ralph "Bucky" Goodman at Breck Memorial Episcopal Church in Ponsford. She later went to work as a community health worker for White Earth home health for 27 years.

Izzy loved spending her time with her family & grandchildren, going to powwows, ricing, attending auctions with her husband Bucky, and riding around town with her dog Mukwa. 

Izzy Is survived by her children Ralph Edward Goodman Jr, Helen Jane Goodman, Rita Amy Goodman, Donald "DJ" Goodman, Robert Eugene Butcher; grandchildren Adalynn Goodman, Derek "Beba" Goodman Jr and Alan Jackson "Brown"; her brother William "Billy" Butcher and brother-In-Law Melvin (Shelly) Goodman.

Izzy is preceded in death by her husband Ralph "Bucky" Goodman; parents Lawrence Joseph Butcher and Helen Jane Butcher; siblings Violet Butcher, Junior Butcher, Daisy Butcher, Julie (Butcher) Stewart, Robert "Bobby" Butcher; children: Tasha Goodman and Derek "Teet" Goodman.
