James Grandboise

James L. Grandboise died November 4, 2013 at his home in White Earth, MN. Services are on Friday, November 8, 2013, at 11:00 am from the White Earth Community Center in White Earth. Mike Dahl will be Officiating. Visitation is Friday, November 7 starting at 4:30 from the White Earth Community Center in White Earth. James Lynus Grandboise was born January 21, 1946 in Bellcourt, North Dakota to Cecelia Fulsaas and DeLong Grandboise. Jim met Gloria Jean Hanks in the early 1960's and on June 16, 2001 they were married. They shared 44 years together before Gloria died on May 1, 2013. James owned his own sheet-rocking business. He also for many years worked as a blackjack dealer, and for Eagle Feather Security. James loved being with his wife and their children. James is survived by his children: David "Suzie" Hanks of Naytahwaash, Kaye Hanks of White Earth, and Jason Hanks of White Earth, grandchildren; Carissa, Danielle, Shona, Emil, Gloria, Keith, Landen, David Jr., Bryan, Bryce, Alexandra, Sheldon, Richard, Kamrin, Cassandra and Vanessa along with great-grandchildren: Shantel and Shaylin. He is also survived by one Brother: Patrick Grandboise of Lisbon, ND. He is preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Jean Grandboise, son, James Hanks, granddaughters; Kelsy and Charlotte Hanks, his Parents and two siblings: Marvin Grandboise and Julia Hero.
