Jamie Anderson

Jamie Kay Anderson, of Ogema, MN, went home to her Lord after a long fight in her 19 years of life on Saturday, July 22, 2017, at Essentia Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Detroit Lakes, MN.  A funeral service will be at 10:00 am on Thursday, July 27, 2017, at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church in Callaway, MN; with a time of gathering an hour prior.  A visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Wednesday, July 26, 2017, at David Donehower Funeral Home in Detroit Lakes, MN; with a prayer service at 6:00 pm.

Jamie was born on September 11, 1997, to Patricia and Scott Anderson.  Jamie Kay was like no other, always putting on a brave face to whatever obstacle she faced and squeezing her loved ones hands admirably to show her love and affection.  Jamie Kay loved being with her family, especially being surrounded by her brother and sisters and listening to them and her nieces and nephews fill her room with noise and mischief.  She liked listening to music and the birds singing right outside her window.  She enjoyed getting her hair and nails done by the very special nurses that cared for her.  She will be deeply missed by everyone who has been blessed to be with her in life.

Jamie Kay is survived by her parents, Patricia and Scott Anderson; a grandfather, John Heisler; siblings, Jodi Anderson (Jeff Tibbetts), Jake Anderson (Janine Demarrias), and Jesica (Matt) Smith; nieces: Deondra, and Star; nephews: Michael, Drayton, and Garner; God-parents, Pete and Val Steichen; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and very special nurses who have stood by her continuously throughout her life.

She is preceded in death by her brother, Michael Anderson, and her grandparents, Will and Loretta Anderson, and Martha Heisler.
