Janet Marie Thompson, age 79, Detroit Lakes, formerly of Blaine died Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at Ecumen-Emmanuel Nursing Home in Detroit Lakes, MN. Survived by three sons and one daughter: Jeffrey (Myra) Thompson of the Philippines, Gregg (Roxanne) Thompson of Farmington, MN, Gary (Debbie) Thompson of Jefferson, WI, and Christine (Kevin) Dornbusch of Audubon, MN. She is also survived by eight grandchildren: Nicholas, Travis, Brooke, Ashley, Chloe, Dalton, Jessica and Mayson. Two brothers: James (Pat) Maloney and Robert (Cathy) Maloney, brother-in-law: Arnie LeDuc and sister-in-law: Mary Alice Maloney. Preceded in death by parents: Floyd and Edna (Johnson) Maloney, former husband: Dale Thompson, four brothers and one sister: Jack (Barb), Bernard (Marge), Clarence (Mary Lou), Thomas and Mary Margaret LeDuc. Things Janet enjoyed: country music, baseball (especially the Twins and Redhawks), The Canterbury Race Track, Bingo, reading romance novels, and above all she loved spending time with her family.Memorials preferred to the Lake Park-Audubon Boosters Club, 611 Vigen Lane, Lake Park, MN 56554.
