Janice Dollinger

Janice Erickson Dollinger, 78, Detroit Lakes, MN, passed away peacefully at the Cottages-Emmanuel in Detroit Lakes on Thursday, April 20, 2017. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 PM, Monday, May 15, 2017 at David-Donehower Funeral Home in Detroit Lakes. Graveside services will be at 4:00 pm Tuesday, May 16 at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Moorhead, MN. Friends may call at David-Donehower Funeral Home from 12:30 – 1:30 pm on Monday, May 15. Janice Darlene Erickson was born April 16, 1939 in Moorhead, MN to Denver E. and Frances M. (Maier) Erickson. She attended catholic school and, after graduating, began her 40 year career with Northwestern Bell Telephone as an operator, then fraud prevention investigator. Janice was united in marriage to Ron Dollinger and they had two children. Janice is survived by her daughters: Julie (Mike) Smith of Marco Island, FL and Jodeen Verlinden of Goodland. KS; six grandchildren: Joshua Gnoinsky, Aaron Gnoinsky, Amy Gnoinsky, Ashley (Andrew) Verlinden Lovington, Justin Verlinden and Brandon Verlindon, two great-grandchildren: Sydney Lovington and Tirzo Lovington and a brother, Floyd "Bud" Erickson of Moorhead, MN. and several aunts and uncles Janice is proceeded in death by her Father, Mother and several aunts and uncles. The family would like to thank the staffs of The Cottages-Emmanuel and Hospice of the Red River Valley for their ongoing care and support. A heartfelt thanks also in extended to the staff of David-Donehower Funeral Home.
