Jeremy D. Matter, 26, resident of Detroit Lakes, MN, died Tuesday, October 26, 2010 in Twin Valley, MN.

Mass of Christian Burial for Jeremy will be held Saturday, October 30, 2010 at 9:30 AM in Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Detroit Lakes. Visitation will be held at David Donehower Funeral Home on Friday, October 29, 2010 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM with a 7PM Prayer Service. Interment will be at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Callaway, MN.

Jeremy Dean Matter was born December 11, 1983 in Detroit Lakes, MN to Joel and Lorie (Boucher) Matter. He was raised and educated in Detroit Lakes. After school he traveled throughout the tri-state area working various jobs which included: auto body, building maintenance, and most recently as a short order cook. Jeremy’s dream was to one day be a video game programmer. He had the gift of gab and could strike up a conversation with anyone at anytime. Jeremy enjoyed riding snowmobile, dirt biking and hanging out with his friends and family.

Jeremy will be dearly missed by his five children: Julian of Fergus Falls, MN, Christian of Detroit Lakes, Madison of Detroit Lakes, Kera of Fargo, ND and Ezmerelda of Detroit Lakes, his father Joel Matter of Detroit Lakes, his mother Lorie Kelly of Moorhead, MN, two brothers: Joseph Matter and James Matter both of Detroit Lakes, one sister: Alicia (Aaron) Nolan of Frazee, MN, two step-sisters: Alisha Wagner of Alexandria, MN and LaTricia Kelly of Moorhead, his grandparents: James (Betty) Matter of Callaway, MN and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Gloria Boucher and Step Dad Tim Kelly.
